Jen
Jennifer has been a full-time global worker since 2006, serving in a variety of capacities and settings in East and Central Africa. In June 2025, she and her husband moved to the US for a few years. She began her career as a nurse, first in the NICU in the US, then in a maternal and child health program in rural Africa. Over time, her work as a nurse shifted to informal, one-on-one times of patient education and advocacy, and she realized she enjoyed walking with people through difficult times in their lives. Seeing the benefits of formal counseling in the lives and work of global workers led her to pursue her Master’s in Counseling. She is now a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Georgia.
In 1999, she and Daniel, a Third Culture Kid who grew up in Kenya, were married. They have two young adult daughters, plus a son-in-law and a grandson! She enjoys good cups of chai, reading, and long runs.
